As Congress works with the Administration to negotiate the final health care reform package, more than 200 clergy and leaders of diverse grassroots organizations across the country will gather with Members of Congress to demand that legislation makes coverage truly affordable for American families.

Community leaders – from religious, labor and consumer organizations that represent more than 100 million Americans – will hold a panel discussion with Congressional champions for health care reform to call for improving subsidies for low- and moderate-income families in the final bill. Following the Summit, the grassroots leaders will deliver to Members’ offices oversized keys symbolizing that affordability for families is the key to the success of health reform. The issue of affordability is key to reform being truly meaningful to every American family
