Kaiser Health News staff writer Julie Appleby, working in collaboration with USA Today, reports: "All this is happening in anticipation that an estimated 9 million people will buy their own insurance in 2014 -- about 50 percent more than do so now. That's when the law goes into full effect and virtually all Americans will be required to have health insurance.
