KQED's California Report/Health Dialogues
reports on end-of-life care and the roles culture and insurance play. In considering end of life care, "sometimes there's disagreement within a family, and cultural and generational differences can complicate what is already an emotionally fraught situation. That's the dilemma producer Victoria Chao's family found itself in this summer, when Victoria's grandmother became critically ill." Chao's story is one of four presented in the program that also includes physician points of view and a look at pediatric hospice (8/19).
