Whistleblower Alleges Medicaid Fraud At New Mexico Hospitals In Lawsuit

A whistleblower has alleged a Tennessee-based hospital corporation made more than $90 million off Medicaid fraud at three New Mexico hospitals during eight years, The Associated Press/Memphis Daily News reports.

A lawsuit filed by the whistleblower alleges Community Health Systems Inc. donated to counties and hospitals which then used the money to cover its match for federal Medicaid dollars, which is almost never allowed (8/10).
